No wonder the pits were so crowded.
Brian Redmond: A member of the World Champion John Wyer team in both 1969 and 1970, is also a winner at Daytona, Sebring, Nurburgring, Monza, Spa and of course, the Targa Florio. Brian is the owner of nine championship titles from F-5000, Camel GT and World Championship of Sports Cars, earned in over 30 years of world championship driving. He was a driver of three straight World Manufacturer Championships teams - 1968 John Wyer Gulf Ford, 1969 Porsche 908 and 1970 Chevron (2 Liter Championship). He secured the 1974, 1975, and 1976 U.S. Formula 5000 Championship, including a win at the initial race at the Long Beach circuit in 1975. Brian was also the first IMSA GTP champion in 1981.
Overwhelming: Not only the number of Porsche scale models on display - but real cars too with lots of people (below) telling "racing stories."
And the Porsche apparel - it was everywhere so I'll drop some samples in throughout this series.
