Back in 2011, the LeMons briefly considered an offer to run an event in Jamaica - at Dover Raceway. It was built in 1989. A distinguished team of track investigators were sent on a fact finding mission to the track.
Here's the entrance during the off season. No gates or security to keep anyone out!
Great views of the ocean from the track - not a lot of runoff anywhere.

The track runs right next to itself (in two directions) with a single concrete wall for separation.

Needless to say, while we considered it as a venue for about 20 seconds, the logistics of getting teams to Jamaica compounded by the opportunity for car and driver injury were insurmountable hurdles to the concept of a vacation LeMons event.
